Creating together. Connecting genuinely.

Do you feel like you are always “on”?

That the days fly by and you are mostly busy organising, planning and caring? While you actually long for peace, connection and real attention for your child?

A place where you can create, feel and discover together

In my art workshops, you step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life together. No pressure to perform or having to make something “beautiful”, but intuitive creation, playing and discovering with different materials and techniques.

Working with your hands creates space for relaxation, fun and true connection. Together you slow down, laugh and discover how wonderful it is to be fully in the moment.

What you take home with you

Afterwards, you not only take a work of art home with you, but above all a sense of peace, freedom and connection with your child and with yourself. At Bonny Z, you don't just make art. You make space. Space to meet yourself and see each other anew.

Slow down

Real attention for yourself and your child!

Perhaps you recognise this:

  • You feel like you are mostly living on autopilot

  • You yearn for more peace of mind

  • You are missing creative or playful moments for yourself

  • Time with your child often feels fleeting or rushed

  • You want to feel more connected, but you are not quite sure how

And meanwhile, deep down you are longing for something else.

To slow down.
Moving towards experiencing things together instead of just carrying on.
To moments in which you feel who you are again and in which you and your child truly meet.

“Whatever gets attention grows”

Who am I?

“Hi, I'm Bonny Z!”

I am Nienke: mother of three, artist and the founder of Bonny Z.

Aside from leading workshops, I am also busy with art myself every day. I create graphic art, mostly based on intuition. Without having a fixed plan in advance, I let myself be guided by what presents itself during the making process. It is precisely in this that I find the freedom, peace and wonder that make creating so special to me.
I enjoy working with various materials and techniques, such as drawing with a fineliner, watercolour, screen printing, blueprint (cyanotype), lino printing and acrylic paintings. I love colour, graphic shapes and architecture, but am just as easily inspired by nature.
Together with my dog Tommie, I love walking through the woods or the park. Along the way, I consciously take the time to pause and appreciate the little things: a flower just opening, an unusual insect or a bird showing itself for a moment. Those moments of wonder, mindfulness and slowing down are an important source of inspiration for my work.
If you look closely, you will see many of those elements reflected in my art and drawings. Organic shapes, graphic lines, colour, nature and space recur over and over again. For me, art is not just about what you see, but above all about what you feel while looking and while creating.
